Adam Bethlehem, a product of biblical DNA and descendant of a line of mostly undistinguished refugees, was born in London but grew up in South Africa. He trained as a doctor and taught physiology before returning to England to study physics. Adam is an enthusiast for irrelevant connections, he no longer practices medicine and relies on chance to supply experience as a substitute for literary research. He has worked as a bookseller, a confectioner and a medico-legal advisor. He lives in London with his wife and son.

Mr Einstein and Me was published in Autumn 2014. The Universal Theory of Immigration, a heavenly parable starring God on holiday in London, was published on 1 June 2016.
